Nicki woke up feeling strange. She sat up and rubbed at her eyes. Her and SB were lying top to toe on the couch. Photo albums were strewn across the coffee table, she smiled remembering the night before. Finally her son knew that she was his mother ! She had made sure that Macaiah had known that if he didn't want to acknowledge the fact her and SB were his parents that it was fine. But deep down in her heart she didnt know if that was completely true.

Ever since caiah had called her and SB mum and dad her heart aches for her to hear those words again. But was she ready to be a mum ? Not many people started parenting when there child was 13 years old. But then again she knew him pretty well, just maybe not like a mother.

SB sat up and stretched his back out. He must have lied in an awkward position on the couch. He sat up and saw Nicki staring at the ceiling. He knew she was thinking about Macaiah. Who could blame her ! After the emotional hug from his son last night and then being called dad straight after safaree had yearned to always be there for his son. To say goodnight to him , to sit and make dinner for himself Caiah and Nicki.

He pictured them 3 together all round a table eating a meal, laughing and joking like a normal family would. Suddenly he pictured Nicki holding a baby. But this baby wasn't Macaiah. In fact Macaiah was sitting next to her tickling the baby. It was a beautiful little girl dressed in pink. He could see the striking resemblance between the baby and Nicki but when he looked harder he saw the baby had his big lips and dark eyes.

Quickly he snapped out of his daydream ! Him and Nicki were over , he reminded himself. They had been great as friends and if he was to tell her about his feeling he couldn't think of a worse time to do it than now.

Quickly hours had passed In silence both thinking about what Macaiah would decide. SB decided to ask NIcki something he hadn't asked yet.

"what do you want Macaiah to say tomorrow ?"

Nicki frowned " I told you I don't mind. Whatever he wants "

"I'm not talking about him I'm talking about YOU! in your ideal world what would he say ?"

Nicki looked thoughtful. Safaree stared at her anxiously hopin she would say what he wanted her to. " I would want him to get to know as parents. I want to know him as a son not a brother. I want to kiss him goodnight and make his lunch for school and cook for you 2. My ideal world would be me, you and our son eating and laughing and joking. Just like a normal family I guess. How about you ?"

Safaree stared at her. It was almost as If she had gone into his brain and retold him what he had dreamed of. "I just want to be a dad. ". Nicki nodded understanding the feeling. " I think we should prepare ourselves for the worst though. "

"I just have a bad feeling about it thats all ".
