Nicki arrived at the party. It was Candi's big brother Damon's birthday and he was having a huge party at his house. Nicki was getting there early to get ready with Candi and Lauren and to get the music ready. She knocked on the door and Lauren opened it with a towel round her.


"Where the hell have u been bitch?"


"oh my god lauren, im sorry my freaking school isnt round the corner! And where the hell is your clothes?"


"I've been showering because i wanted to get in before you because me and Candi know how you like your long ass showers!!"


Nicki walked in with her overnight bag and her bag with her dress and make up she was going to wear tonight. As she was walking up the stairs Damon came out of the kitchen eating toast.


"DAMON" Nicki dropped her bags on the stairs and ran to him. She jumped at him and wrapped her legs round him.


"NICKI" he yelled back putting on a high pitched voice and imitating Nicki's laugh after it. Nicki and Damon were quite close but never saw each other because her school and his work clashed.


"Happy birthday babe. I got your present in my bag, you want it now or later?"


"I don't mind Nic, don't you need to get ready?"


"Nahh I'm good for a minute."


"Ya know what" Lauren said from the stairs. "I'm leaving you 2 alone, how you ganna ignore me for this long.??"


Damon and Nicki both laughed as Lauren proceeded upstairs to get back in the shower. Candi ran down at the same time to hug Nicki. "Nicki, i wish i could stay and chat for a bit but i left my dress at my Aunties I'm ganna run and go get it. When you wanna get ready i got hair in my room and Laurens setting up make up in the bathroom. Cya" She rushed out the door comically. Damon was cracking up laughing at how serious they were about getting ready and Nicki was cracking up laughing that she was so unorganised.


Nicki fetched Damons present and ran back to the living room.  She handed him a weird shaped present wrapped in pink wrapping paper with fairy's on it. She blushed, " I'm sorry, i forgot to get wrapping paper so i had to use the same one i used for my little cousins present."


"Its cool nic, you didn't even have to get me a gift."


He opened it and his jaw dropped. The paper dropped to the floor as he stared at the best present he had ever received. It was a helmet for his bike but someone had sprayed it into a face.


"OMG, where did you find this" he said as he picked Nic up and twirled her around."OMG, i cant wait to show the boys this. Nic, your the best."


Nicki giggled. "That's okay Damon, i have to go get ready. But wait, whos coming to this party?"


"Most people you'll know, a couple of the boys at my school are coming though, you wont know them, hey you broke up with that dickhead right?, you want me to introduce ya'll?"


"Nah, I'm good, thanks though Damon."


Nicki ran to Candi's room and pulled her clothes off. Lauren stared. "Jeez Nic, who you wearing that underwear set for?"


"No one you perv!!!! Its just the first thing that came out of my drawer this morning. She went to go shower as Lauren carried on with her hair.

All three of them were finally ready. They were all only 15 but looked older in there dress's and make up. A few people had arrived by the time they got downstairs and Nicki looked around trying to see if there was anyone she didn't know. There wasn't, it was all a mix of her friends and Damons friends who she knew quite well. They were all drinking and Nicki went over to greet everyone. As she hugged Damon's best friend Ryan he handed her a glass of something red looking. "What is it?" she asked quietly to Ryan as she didn't want to seem an idiot in front of some of the older girls who were there who she didn't know that well.


"Its not strong, honest" he grinned. She grinned back nervously as she took a sip. She hated the taste but tried not to let it show as she went to answer the door. "TT" she cried. They hugged and Nicki showed her up to Candi's room. TT was staying the night as well as Lauren and Nicki because they didn't want to go home to there moms smelling like alcohol.


"So Nic, you hooking up with anyone tonight."


"TT" Nicki said pushing her lightly laughing. "No, I'm a lady."


"Its been like 2 weeks since you broke up with him, like your 15 have fun, loosen up."


"Whatever, anyway Damon said there ain't that many people coming that we don't know. And i definitely aint going out with any of these bum ass nigga's we be knowing".


TT snorted with laughter as they went back downstairs. They went back to Lauren and Candi who almost immediately pulled them to start dancing. After dancing and laughing for a bit Nicki glanced over to Damon who was showing some boys she didnt know the helmet she had bought him. He pointed over to her and all the boys looked at her. Damon motioned for her to come over so she walked over to them carefully because she didnt wanna trip in her 6 inch heels.


Damon swung his arm round her shoulders."This the girl that got me my helmet."


"Oh, im sorry, i didnt introduce ya'll" Damon said. "This trey, this Jayden, this JR, this chubba and this Safaree."


"Safaree? Is that your real name?" Nicki spluttered.


They all laughed at her bluntness. "Yup" he replied.


"Dats hot"Nicki replied looking the boy up and down. He was wearing baggy jeans and t shirt that said im a cock on it.


"Whats your name?" he replied.


"Nicki"


"That your real name?" he replied mocking what she had said to him.


"Umm kinda......ish"

"Haha, so wait, i tell you my real name, but you dont tell me yours?"

"Oh, so people dont call you Safaree?"

"naah everyone calls me SB."

"Oh well thats cute as well. But not as cute as Safaree."

"You think by changing the subject you wont tell me your name."

"I only tell very special people my real name."

"Oh im not special now? Have you ever met anyone called Safaree?"

"Well no."

"Exactly that makes me special, so tell me."

She said something quitely under her breath. SB laughed he put her hand at her lower back and escorted her to outside.

"Thats better." he said.

She blushed and looked down. "My names Onika"

"Onika? Thats cute. Why wouldnt you tell people that?"

"I hate it."

"Your cute. I like you."

She blushed. He tilted her head upwards and looked in her eyes and smiled. "You never look up and tell people your name? When you have the cutest name and the cutest face ive ever heard? I dont get it."

"You have a girlfriend dont you?" She blurted.

"No! Why would you say that?"

"Because there must be something wrong right? Like you havnt commented on my body? You havnt made a pass on me? You havnt bragged about anything?"

"isnt that a good thing?"

"Well yeh...."

"so whats the issue?"

"There isnt an issue. Thats the issue."

"Your weird. You have a boyfriend?"

"Nope. I have given up on all of man kind. I am an independant woman."

He laughed. "Your funny. You wanna go for a walk? Partys aint really my thing."

She knew she probably shouldnt. She didnt know him that well and for all she knew he could be a mass murderer, but Damon seemed to like him and she trusted his judgement. "sure." she replied.


Lauren and Candi had been at the door for the past 5 minutes. "should we follow them in case anything happens?" Lauren asked smiling because Nicki seemed happy with a guy for once.

"nah my bro's none him for ages, he wouldnt hurt a fly." They went back to the party buzzing that Nicki may have found a man who aint ganna cheat on her, who aint gonna hurt her or make her cry.
